KIVUMBI MEETS LAWYERS OVER 600 DETAINEES IN LAST WEEK`S RIOTS

Our legal petitioners, dear learned friends, great intellectuals of the East & Central African states.
I appreciate so much indeed the services rendered by your highly intellectual brains.as legal associations in different umbrellas that comprise of Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania and other Law societies, the profession you hold ranks you close like gods;
You save lives like doctors, you refund money and property beyond financial institutions, move mountains and hills like scientific arsenals I mean where necessary you can command trees to fall, forests to grow, Rivers to flow and even animals to live!Restitution, compensation, penalty, sentences and orders are all at your will, gentlemen and ladies!

My name is Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin, your comrade in the struggle from Law Development Center striving for ends to meet.
The little time you have can`t allow explore who I am in details , this profession counts much.
What has happened in our home land for the last couple of days require not my explanation for hundreds of our country men and citizens are behind bars.
A good number of them have died in police cells, more of our comrades have been abducted, tortured and to different forms of inhuman degradation.
Journalists have been arrested, some of them have been hospitalised due to security organs` brutality.
Politicians are living in tension after many of them being kidnapped yet others sermoned and cautioned by intelligence person ells including some members of Parliament!
More are yet to be arrested, tortured and jailed.
Safe houses are widely opened to many of us, God forbid!
Nationals are wailing and telling we the young generation who never saw former dictator Al Hajji Amin Dada Oume that we are back in his g gun-men to shoot`t imagine a president telling gun-men to shoot to citizen demonstrators, what a shame!
Radio stations are closed down and as i speak fear, tension, misery, anarchy,an error we Remember in African history known as "Mfeecan" has befallen this nation!Families of the victimised need to be attended to learned Friends.
As a future president of this nation, a concerned citizen, son and grandson of the region, i can`t wait for this to aggravate.I hereby seek and appeal fro your intervention, it`s stipulated as you know that in such moments like these, this profession requires one to commit him/herself in offering willingly legal services at least without a penny.
It`s under this stipulation therefore that i consider it humanitarian ad authentic to ask you join hands, get to meet together on a table of brotherhood and resolve on how to extend legal representation to over 600 detainees in police custody and government prisons.
Earlier alone i appealed to may Human rights activists and organisations around the world and good enough they are now coming out to criticise the brutality and human rights abuse.
The government of Buganda i hear is in talks with Lawyers but i doubt whether the number needed will be enough.

We must act and the time is now.
Great AfricaGreat people.
